Alexsa & Brodie — Vista at Seward Hill, Austin, TX · photographed by Caity Colvard
"Every arch on this property is a portrait waiting to happen."
Vista's stone archway courtyard is the single most underused backdrop in Austin — most photographers stick to the obvious spots. Build at least 10 minutes into your timeline for portraits there. Worth it.
Golden hour through the garden archway corridor is unreal from about 30 minutes before sunset. If your ceremony is at 5pm or later, I'll usually pull you out for 8-10 minutes of just-the-two-of-you portraits with that warm Hill Country light.
The limestone reception hall has gorgeous warm tones at night — we'll plan first dance and night portraits to lean into that. Family photos work best on the side garden lawn rather than indoors. Plan 25 minutes after the ceremony.
Most Vista weddings run 6-8 hours. ATX 2026-2027 (6 hrs) or Austin Classic (8 hrs) are the best fit for full-day coverage.
Vista has a beautiful indoor limestone reception hall that can host the ceremony if weather forces a move. We'll scout the alternate setup during your venue walkthrough.
The side garden lawn — better light, more space, and faster than herding everyone indoors. Plan 20-25 minutes immediately after the ceremony.
Aim for 5-6pm in spring/fall (90 minutes before sunset). In summer, push to 6:30-7pm. We'll dial it in based on your date.
Yes — both a bridal suite and a groom's suite. The bridal suite has fantastic natural light; we'll capture getting-ready there.
Send your date — I'll check availability and we'll talk timeline.
